Just What Is Anxiety And Could It Be Healed?

Do you have anxiety? Millions of people all around the world do, but did you know that most of them don't fully understand what anxiety and panic attacks mean, or what causes them in the first place?

So what exactly is anxiety anyway? Anxiety is a disorder in which your mind thinks that you are in enough danger for your body and mind to react. If there were a circumstance where you were truly in danger, you would see that your body would have many of the same symptoms.

You would feel your heart racing through your chest. You would begin to sweat and your breathing would become very shallow and your eyes would dilate to get ready for you to flee the scene. These symptoms are very simply something that all humans are born with and are necessary for us to survive if there is ever any real danger.

But when you suffer from an anxiety disorder, there is a part of your brain that is not working like it should. It thinks that every single thing in your life is a reason to prepare to either fight or run away. That is why the blood starts pumping so fast, so that you will be prepared to deal with the danger.

When you are suffering with an extreme panic attack however, there is not any real reason to have these feelings and sensations in your body. It is just the work of an anxious mind creating fake panic over nothing.

How can you learn to cope with this?

In case you are not aware, a human brain is one powerful computer. You can tell it what you want it to do, and if you are convincing enough, it will listen. This is exactly why anxiety is so scary, because your brain is convinced that something is wrong.

But it will listen, if only you speak the right language.

It is essential that you get it in your mind that an anxious brain is the cause of your situation. This does not mean there is no cure, and it most certainly does not mean that you can't put an end to it. And most importantly, you must realize that you are not mad, or losing your mind in any way.

Only after you start believing these things will you find out how you can control your anxiety for good. Your mind has been really good at letting you think that something is wrong, and now you must convince it to believe that nothing is wrong.

Anxiety and panic attacks are not the simplest thing to fix for a majority of people. But that does not mean there is no hope, not by a long shot. There are powerful methods that you can use to deal with anxiety in a way that is safe for your body, and that will work for the rest of your life.
